The police and admitting they are wrong

The police do not want to admit they have made a mistake, furthermore they will never change their judgement even though they know they have made a mistake. How can you trust them when they will not own up nor will they correct the mistake. It is too easy to give out a caution there is no right of appeal nor is there any investigation necessary a brownie point without having to wait till a court date or the need to look at circumstances an instant hit on their targets and once given cannot be challenged. Or so they think, They do not care what their actions will do to peoples lives after all they have reached their target this month, even though the person may be innocent or coerced into signing the form! and they will not have to answer why they have not nicked enough people, still they can always send out the traffic cops and build up their figures that way!!! Perhaps they aught to look at the fact the best copper is the one who manages his patch so that there is so few nicks that his personal performance is truly having an effect, We have one such copper around my area but I doubt whether he will stay because he has a modicum of common sense and natural ability therefore crime goes down and the hierarchy don't want that after all they have targets to meet. The police seem to be under the impression that they are not public servants anymore and the law is there for them to manipulate to hit their targets for the month, and then they ask why the public doesn't trust them anymore.
