The police and admitting they are wrong

The police do not want to admit they have made a mistake, furthermore they will never change their judgement even though they know they have made a mistake. How can you trust them when they will not own up nor will they correct the mistake. It is too easy to give out a caution there is no right of appeal nor is there any investigation necessary a brownie point without having to wait till a court date or the need to look at circumstances an instant hit on their targets and once given cannot be challenged. Or so they think, They do not care what their actions will do to peoples lives after all they have reached their target this month, even though the person may be innocent or coerced into signing the form! and they will not have to answer why they have not nicked enough people, still they can always send out the traffic cops and build up their figures that way!!! Perhaps they aught to look at the fact the best copper is the one who manages his patch so that there is so few nicks that his personal performance is truly having an effect, We have one such copper around my area but I doubt whether he will stay because he has a modicum of common sense and natural ability therefore crime goes down and the hierarchy don't want that after all they have targets to meet. The police seem to be under the impression that they are not public servants anymore and the law is there for them to manipulate to hit their targets for the month, and then they ask why the public doesn't trust them anymore.

The caution and how it destroys lives.

After 3 years of seriously bad antisocial behaviour that affected our whole area, (which eminated from one household), which included all night parties at least 4 times a week, fighting in the street, vandalism, threatening behaviour, intimidation, rubbish, open drug and alchohol abuse including minors, and theft, and the essex police and council officials seeming powerless to stop it. At this time due to these stresses i became depressed and the area had become a no go zone. In the november of 2004 my partner also had to go into hospital; to have a lump removed and I myself had suffered a serious work related injury which seriously affected my ability to walk , At this time the anti social element stepped up their campaign a notch or two and the vandalism had hit new highs, the council and the police were notified about the problems on an almost daily basis by myself and a great many of the local residents and although they said a lot nothing seemed to be being done about the living hell all the residents were going through in the area and life was getting unbearable. There were several meetings with the council and the police but nothing appeared to be happening, most of the meetings had up to 100 people attend but still nothing happened. Then one night they decided they were going to vandalis my car and caravan which were parked on my drive and I caught them in the act so I went to remonstrate with them, after hobbling after them I managed to catch them up I was confronted by two yobs in hoodies both obviously drunk and high on something or the other, anyway I did loose my temper a little bit and them I noticed one of them had a bottle held by the kneck in his right hand as he raised it to hit me with it I grabbed him and pulled him off balance at the same time I head butted him to ensure I wasn't attacked again, I left him holding his nose and the other lad I grabbed hold of and held him in a restraint hold to stop him joining in, at this point my youngest son who had seen the whole episode talked me down as my adrenalin levels were running high and we left the scene. When I got home I was told that the yob who i had headbutted was only nearly sixteen although he was nearly 6 foot and very well built so my immediate reaction was to phone the police and report the incident. The next day I had a call from the police to attend halstead police station so I went there to what I thought would be an interview WRONG I was told that I would be arrested as I had hit a minor who was only 15 and 10 months old the police formally interviewed me and gave me the option of spending the night in the cells or accepting a caution , now at this time I was suffering depression , anxiety attacks, agrophobia, hadn't had a decent nights sleep in weeks, was concerned about my partner and was concerned that if I were not at home what the anti social element were going to do. I was told that a caution was quite minor WRONG that it would dissapear in 5 years WRONG AND  it would be treated as a minor offence WRONG. The effect was that i was sacked from my job the next day, a managers job that I had been offered was withdrawn which ended up with me in bankrupsy. I complained to the chief constable my mp and the IPCC  but got nowhere after all they had notched up another one, also my son got married in Canada can I see him NOT ON YOUR LIFE, DO I HATE THE ARSEHOLES WHO PUT ME IN THIS POSITION? YOU BET, DO I THINK MUCH OF THE POLICE AND LAWS OF THE UK? NOT A LOT AM I PISSED OFF? WHAT DO YOU THINK? WOULD I DO IT AGAIN? TO PROTECT MYSELF YES as a footnote 2 weeks after the caution I was universaly voted in as neighbourhood watch co ordinator for our area by all the neigbourhood in front of the police and council officers, we have not had an incident since except for one someone set fire to the offending house, Whilst standing outside after being woken up by the police and firecrew sirens, standing there deciding whether I fancied toast or marshmallos a copper said could I help my neighbour asked why did he need another bucket of petrol? And just to piss the cretins whg know I am talking about you here LIKE MY YATCH? THATS WHAT WORKING FOR A LIVING GETS YOU!!!!!!
